Im not religious at all but always bonded more with the Jewish - TopicsExpress

Im not religious at all but always bonded more with the Jewish religion than any Christian sect but I have always and will always love Christmas. Its not because its Jesuss birthday. actually many records claim Jesus was born closer to the summer time. Its not the novelty of the holiday with consumerism even though it was always nicer to get a bike on xmas from my moms side of the family than a pair of socks or a guilt trip from my fathers for Chanukah. What I love about Xmas is the hope and belief in magic that it instills in so many people. I mean the holiday was started because some shamans tripped on a fly agaric mushroom (the red and white one hence the colors of xmas) in Siberia and saw deer fly. And in todays puritanical and Orwellian world any hint of magic and awe is reduced and fluoridated by any and all obstacles out there. Jeez you cant even say merry Christmas to anyone anymore it has to be happy holidays I dont care if someone wishes me a merry Christmas or happy Chanukah or Kwanzaa or festivus or ground hog day. As long as it comes from the heart Im honored. And in that lays the archetypal issue of our society. Magic is replaced with fascism and we are so content with going with the status quo that we abide. Just like good fluoride-laden Jews and gypsies in Auschwitz (yes the water you drink from the sink and shower with for whatever reasons has a neurotoxin in it)...we follow the mold and incorporate HAPPY HOLIDAYS to God forbid give us back any inkling of humanity back. But in a world where we sign our souls away to corporations HAPPY HOLIDAYS seems like a feasible unison thing to tell someone on Chanukah or xmas.or.Kwanzaa. and in that sentiment is exactly where the little bit of awe and magic is going to. Whats next? Turning the Easter bunny into a stapler because some kid is allergic to rabbits or someone claims that Allah hated rabbits? Well I say HO HO HO! P.S. I celebrate festivus. Off to get the pole I go!
