Im not so sure I like the new iOS update for my phone. At 7 AM, the alarm clock went off--not the gentle but effective one I had originally chosen, but an evil sound like a robotic monster regurgitating over and over. I reached over to grab my phone from the nightstand, and it leaped off the edge taking my glasses with it. So...visually impaired and addled from being awakened by this alien screech, I go groping, in vain, almost getting my arm trapped between the side frame rails of our log bed. Nothing. Except the continual aaark aaark aaark of my hidden phone, whose wretched alarm now sounds more like a laugh of mockery. My covers are now tangled like seaweed around my legs, but I persevere until I break free and drop to my knees. That phone has upgraded with the ability to throw its voice...so whatever direction I blindly grope, I come back with nothing but a fistful of dust bunnies. FINALLY, my persistence pays off and my hand recovers the next best thing---my glasses! I stop feeling under the dust ruffle and lift the entire thing to at last find my phone. Its under the bed alright, but not at the edge. It managed to slide far enough toward the middle to where I couldnt reach it without a shoe to give me an extra few inches reach. THEN, for the first two tries, it pretended not to know my unlock code! Needless to say, I am up, Danas up, the cats are pacing nervously, and I am foregoing the coffee since Ive already had my jolt for the morning. Shew...my pulse is still racing! Happy Monday!
