Im not sure what I think of this National Teachers Strike to be honest. Theyre striking over pay and conditions/pensions etc which is fair enough. But then its no different in any other job in the current economic climate. Nobody else (apart from the Wanker Bankers and the Pen-Pushing Westminster/Senedd/Holyrood/Stormont Brigade) is getting decent pay rises etc. But everyone else is just accepting it and getting on with it as were all part of the Big Society you see. Also, many Parents have had to take time off today (many unpaid) to look after their Children due to Teachers going on Strike and Schools having to be closed. So Ive come to the conclusion that, based on the 3 months or so a year time off, the above average salary, good job security, monday to friday working and having a pension when they retire which many wont have (whether final salary or average salary) while many people have no job and have to rely on benefits/foodbanks, even those that earn minimum wage and cant afford the basic living costs, that the Teachers are selfish, deluded, ungrateful Idiots.
