Im not usually one to get serious on here but.... Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor teamed up with The You Rock Foundation for a PSA about depression and suicide. In this video, Taylor discusses his teenage years, being homeless and his attempt at suicide. Im not gonna lie... this one got me teary. It made me remember my own hard times. So i just want to take a note out of Corey Taylors book... and be honest. Life hasnt been easy. I joke sometimes that my life reads like a never ending series of Lifetime Original Movies... but its true and the reality is that its not funny. I tried to kill myself... more than once. Thank goodness I was unsuccessful. Just like Corey says in this video... there is ALWAYS light at the end of the tunnel. Find what lets you release your pain. I found poetry and music and was able to lose myself in that. 15 years later and a pen and paper is still where I go when I find myself in the hole and need to get out.
