Im posting this RAOK not about anything that I have done, its more about what I witnessed, you see I work with individuals who have varying degrees of developmental intellectual disabilities. We volunteer every week at local food banks as our way of giving back to our community. This past Friday one young man was filling bags with misc food items, using plastic grocery bags that had been donated. This young man found a prescription bottle full of pills in one of the bags, he immediately brought the pills to me and we were able to contact the elderly gentleman they belonged to. As it turned out that bottle of pills was a life sustaining heart medication. When we returned the pills the man was very suprised that we took the time to locate him and return his medication. It was not anything that I did but Im very proud of the young man who found them so that they could be returned, and quite possibly have saved a life.
