Im really sad to hear about the impeding closure of Stanley Furniture. Yet another industry is leaving this area, an area that cant afford to lose any more jobs. Weve lost so many factories over the last 20 years and Stanley is one of the last remaining ones. That leaves MGM brakes, Snap On, Team Industries and IOI, I think. The days of getting a high school education and going into a good paying blue collar job are long gone. I know a lot of people who raised their families working at places like Lees, Levis, OMC, Bakers, Coats American. All those places are gone now. Industry in this area is a thing of the past.
