Im replacing the rotted, rusted running board on my 2002 Ford SUV - TopicsExpress

Im replacing the rotted, rusted running board on my 2002 Ford SUV on the passenger side. That side gets all the water spray and never dries out. The dealer wants $650 for a running board, plus labor. I got the rusted one off after two hours of my free labor, so theres $120 saved. I made a replacement board out of a 2x6 board I had in the shed, and got the end cap off the old rusted one, Ill screw the end cap on the wooden board. I drilled the board correctly, got carriage bolts, painted it all with two cans of black rotten paint I had. Its all drying downstairs. Im having Glenfiddich Scotch, $39 a fifth, quite a revelation from my Scottish cronies. The whole job could have cost $800, but it will cost me $10. Whats the price of anything? It depends. The most expensive part in this is the Scotch.
