Im saying this once because Im tired of seeing it everywhere. As the wife of a man who puts on a uniform everyday to serve a community that mocks him and his fellow officers, who is confined by rules and regulations that protect victims and criminals alike, and who ultimately has a target on his back the second he steps outside...BACK OFF COPS! While you sit in your comfy recliners and watch tv while they villainize cops and make martyrs out of criminals and you eat it up off the politically funded platter known as the media (all media not just Fox news) you have absolutely no idea what police officers go through on a daily basis. How would you like it if someone came to your job with absolutely no experience, just an opinion, and told you how to do your job? Or if killing people that dress like you was part of gang initiation? How about wishing you could have done more but the laws set in place prohibit you from it? No one that puts on regular clothes has any clue (including me) what each officer goes through every day. What I can tell you, with absolute certainty, is that if it comes between my husband coming home at the end of the day or a criminal, youd better believe I hope by any means necessary, my husband is the one standing up and walking through the door. Its easy to judge when youre clueless to the reality of that life. So by all means, continue to gobble up the politically motivated, race baiting, drama that is being spoon fed to you by your local news station. But I had more faith in my friend. I thought for certain there was intelligence surrounding me.
