Im seeing so many posts and rabid comments about putting Christ back in Christmas and Its Merry Christmas NOT Happy Holidays It bothers me that anyone who celebrates differently than Christians during the holidays are being subjected to such angers. My Pagan family and friends celebrate Yule (many Christian Holidays are based on Pagan festivals, timing and traditions), my Jewish friends celebrate Hanukkah and of course my Christian family and friends celebrate Christmas. Why am I wrong to want everyone to have a happy celebration based on their spiritual beliefs? Why is it only Christmas now? Science has proven Christ was not born Dec. 25, the early church even celebrated it for a time on Jan. 6. The early Roman church declared December 25 as Christs birthday to coincide with the Pagan festival of Saturnalia, thereby making it easier to convert pagan to Christianity. And, if I still havent tweaked your noodle enough, why not start with putting Christ back in Christian.
