Im so fed up with this shit! There is a massive discrimination problem in our police force. You never hear of overweight white guys getting choked to death (Google Eric Garner), or unarmed 18 year old white kids getting gunned down as they walk home (Google Michael Brown). If none of you are aware of whats happening in Ferguson right now, you need to wake up. Where are all the 2nd Amendment folks who want to protect us from govt abuses when its a black community being violated? A white rancher acts like a dick and a militia shows up to protect him. A black teenager gets shot down in the streets by a cop, and nobody seems to care. Last night Ferguson PD in riot gear were threatening journalists, firing tear gas at civilians trying to get back to their homes, and using rubber bullets on crowds. Fun fact: Tear gas has been declared illegal to use in warfare by most countries, but here in the US we us it to protect civilians by using it to suppress those same civilians. And if youre wondering why the black community in Ferguson is so POd (aside from watching a cop kill one of their sons) heres some more fun facts courtesy of the LA Times: Blacks make up 65% of Fergusons population, yet they accounted for 93% of arrests, 92% of searches and 80% of traffic stops in the city last year, according to a racial profiling report by the Missouri attorney general. Blacks in Ferguson are twice as likely as whites to be stopped by police even though police find contraband for 34% of whites stopped, versus 22% of blacks, said Scott Decker, a criminologist on a team contracted by the attorney generals office to compile the data. The Ferguson Police Department has 53 total commissioned officers, three of whom are black and two of whom are other minorities; the rest are white. So, to summarize, a police force of 94% white males willfully ignores a population that yields a higher percentage of contraband during traffic stops (white people) in favor of aggressively harassing a community which yields a lower percentage of infractions (black people). And people say racial profiling & discrimination isnt a problem...
