Im so grateful as a nordestina (northeast of Brazil born person) - TopicsExpress

Im so grateful as a nordestina (northeast of Brazil born person) for growing up dancing so many dance styles from Brazil in different special dates and cultural events, like Pastoril at Christmas Time, FREVO, Xaxado, Maracatu, Dança do Côco, Caboclinho and Boi Calemba (or Boi Bumbá or Bumba Meu Boi) at Carnival events in school or Dia do Folclore (Folkore Day)!! Our dances are so rich, we learn the story behind, the characters, the movements, and even though Maranhão State in Brazil has the biggest tradition and the biggest number of Bumba Meu Boi groups, I remember the Bumba Meu Boi (called Boi Calemba or Boi Bumbá) in Pernambuco. I really cherished this opportunity to be the Bumba Meu Boi for the Brazil Cultural Art Fusion demonstration for the Rock In Rio USA video promo!! And in this fusion I am dancing the Bumba Meu Boi to the sound of this Amazing FREVO Band instead of the original type of music and instruments sound of the Bumba Meu Boi and like good Pernambucana (person that was born in Pernambuco/ Brazil)that I am,couldnt resist to the rhythm of the FREVO!!! Thanks again Mestre Amen Santo for the opportunity and the whole production that believed I was able to handle the task and bring me back to my roots!! Congratulations ROCK IN RIO USA in Las Vegas!!! What an amazing concept and cultural fusion!!! Here is a little bit of my dancing with the 50lbs Bull suit on!!❤️
