Im sure this post will upset some people but I honestly dont care. Crawfords school decision this morning was terrible. I live on hwy 66. When I left for work around 5 this morning I pulled out behind a state highway truck that was treating the road and 66 was froze over. At 6:03 I got the automated call that school was on a 2hr delay, at 8:45 I received another that school was closed. That was after there was a wreck on Indian ridge road. School should have cancelled early this morning. Flopping on their decision put a lot of parents in a bind. I work in another state and had to leave work to get my son picked up. I know a lot of other parents had to do the same thing. This county doesnt have the money to treat the roads, everyone knows that.The school system has always sat around and watched the news waiting on other local schools to cancel first, then they follow suit. When the weather is bad here then the roads will be bad.thats not a surprise it is just how it is. I would like to that the people with the Cares program because if it wasnt for them my son wouldnt have had anywhere to go this morning
