Im the guy my first wife wouldnt take to a movie. Years ago, I sat in Costa Rica watching a film for children with my son. My ex was in the kitchen. I was watching and it seemed that Savannah (my birthplace, and where my ex and I resided for about six months) did not look right. I called her in. You always do this, she replied. She came in and agreed that something about Savannah did not look right. I watched this dreadful film for the next 75 minutes until the end. Johnny LaRues crane shot faded back. I saw the church tower, the colorful homes, the promenade on the promontory. I figured out whats wrong with Savannah! What is it? Its Charleston.
