Im tired, and Im discouraged. We do not have one single organization that is about evidence-based, or evidence-informed, practice of massage, or so much as a door decal for people who have chosen that over woo. Does anyone care besides us? Does the public give a rodents behind if were NOT doing Reiki? Its in hospitals everywhere. Every national massage organization is supportive of it. It is never going to go away, ever. Massage schools teach it. Students accept it, just like I did. The MBLEx and the NCB exams test on it, although the MBLEx is to a lesser degree, but energy anatomy is still a category on the test. The accrediting bodies approve it. The membership organizations insure it. Their Boards of Directors are filled with people who practice it.The magazines tout it all the time. Other than that minority of us who communicate here, nobody seems to give a damn. We are painted as the Evil Science People while the rest are painted as all Love and Light. Just pass the Bushmills. Ive had it.
