Im tired of ignorant people talking about depression like mental illness is simply a matter of not trying hard enough. Why would he kill himself when he had so much money? Why would he be depressed when he was so successful? Your brain is an organ. Mental illness is that organ not working correctly. We dont make those same stupid comments about other diseased organs. Why would you get breast cancer? You have such a loving family! Your ankle is broken? Why dont you just try harder to stand up? Theres no reason for us to still be this stupid.
