Im to the point where I just want to leave the page. I dont understand why the fans in this group cant back players who have come through multiple times for us. I have seen numerous people say things like Longo sucks, Myers sucks, Balfour sucks, Molina sucks etc. You were not saying stuff like that when Longoria was hitting a walkoff in game 162. You were not saying that when Myers won rookie of the year. And I bet you were not saying stuff like that during Balfours first run here. And Monlina may not be the best hitter, but hes solid defensively, which is more than you can say for the young guy who has been up lately. You can say stuff like Longoria is sucking this year, or really needs to get his game together etc. But I dont see why blanket statements like Longo sucks are made. They diminish all the times he has come through for us. I am as frustrated with his struggles, Molinas struggles, Balfours struggles and Myers struggles as anyone. But these guys are part of the Rays family, and are giving it their best effort. Oh and for all those people saying Balfour needs to go, who knows, maybe he doesnt get his game back in form. But I seem to remember a lot of people, myself included, begging for Rodney to get replaced after last year. What happened? We replaced him... with Balfour. And what did that get us? Rodney has an all-star year for the Mariners and we are complaining about Balfour. One season should not make or break a guys career. Balfour is a Ray, and is signed for I think 2 more years, at least give him another year to try to reestablish himself before giving up on him.
