Im trying to keep this on a positive note, but I certainly cant just sweep my experiences under the rug. If youve been to (Or tried to go) to any of the festivals Ive been booked at then you may be aware that every single set (at least 6 so far) has been canceled. Almost all of these have been due to festivals booking late night acts without having sound permits and of course they were subsequently shut down. My set this past weekend was saved as i got to play on a silent disco stage, which in my experience and opinion is a less than ideal way to experience music at a concert. My peers and I work very hard to craft unique musical experiences, some of us have to beg to take off work from our day jobs just for the opportunity to share our art with you all. and to have sets consistantly canceled purely out of logistical oversights is disheartening... more importantly you all deserve to experience what youre promised in the best quality imaginable. So as to solutions to this Im working on putting a show together in the new York area with some incredible artists to bring you cancelation free music on high quality soundsystems. And I humbly request if you put on a festival. Please get your sound permits or dont book acts after hours and just hope it doesnt get shut down. Its not fair to the artists, and its certainly not fair to the fans. Lets pull shit off yall! But lets do it right. For everyone!
