Im very happy that my poem New Song of the South (one of an ongoing series of imaginary movies Ive been working on) appears in the current issue of Poet Lore (Volume 109, Number 3/4, Fall/Winter 2014, the 125th Anniversary issue). Theres a wonderful photograph of Paul Laurence Dunbar on the cover. Im honored to have my poem included in the company of so many amazing poems, including work by two friends from the Iowa Writers Workshop: Frannie Lindsay and Jeff Friedman. My thanks to editors Jody Bolz and E. Ethelbert Miller. Jody suggested a couple of revisions that made the language of my poem more exact and more musical. Heres the table of contents of the issue: POETRY Joseph Zaccardi On the Outskirts Henry J.
