Imagine that you are desperately lost, following the horizon, taking step after laborious step through the hottest, driest, harshest desert youve ever encountered. Your throat burns with thirst, your feet blister in your shoes, your face stings as the sun beats down on it relentlessly. Youve all but given up on survival, instinct drives you. In the distance you spot a glimmer, what could it be? A palm tree next to it, are your eyes deceiving you? A soothing, rejuvenating oasis amidst this living hell. Then as soon as the oasis appears it is gone, it vanishes, you spin frantically searching for it in the distance. Nothing but sand as far as the eye can see.
