Imamia Rabta Council (IRC) delegation meeting was held with Imamia Jirga on 17th October, 2014. Imamia Rabta Council delegation was led by Mr. Maulana Jawad Hadi, the chairman of Supreme Council IRC and other members including Mr. Syed Azhar Shah Kazmi, Mr. Syed Ibrar Shah, Mr. Syed Azhar Shah (Baba Gul), Mr. Mriza Nasir Ali Baig, Mr. Advocate Gohar Ali and Syed Sardar Hussain (of Shaheed Colony), where as from Imamia Jirga it was being headed by Mr. Sardar Sajjad accompanied by Mr. Farzand Ali Bangash. Various issues of Shia Community came under discussion, keeping in view the forthcoming Muharram-ul-Haram. The main issues discussed were:- a). Security and worse law & order situation confronting Shites all over Pakistan and focusing on Peshawar and KPK. b). Intensive target killing of Shities in Pakistan, specially in Peshawar, KPK and sleeping attitude of both provincial and Federal Government, which is not acceptable to the Shia community. c). The protection and security of Azaadars, Azaadari Jaloos, Mosques and Imambargahs. d). No restrictions/changes to be accepted regarding the change in routes, timings and early ending up Azaadari jaloos from Government side and pressure tactics to be resisted. e). Unification of Shia community is the demand of time keeping in view the prevailing situation of Shities. Imamia Rabta Council made strong deliberation that all Shia organizations i-e MWM, TNFJ, ISO, Shia Ulema Council, Imamia Jirga, Imamia Rabta Council and any other Shia organizations to join hands irrespective of their differences and work together in forthcoming Muharram-ul-Haram specially in Peshawar. The aims and objectives of subject meeting was partially achieved but the unification of Shia Community could not find a way as Imamia Jirga was of the opinion that it is only possible if heads of all Shia Organizations i-e MWM, TNFJ, ISO, Shia Ulema Council and other Shia Organizations first join hands and create an atmosphere of working relationship irrespective of their differences and later on same can be implemented at lower lever i-e Peshawar, KPK and all over the country, where as Imamia Rabta Council (IRC) delegation was of the opinion that unification process should start from lower level, as the momineen and azaadars at lower level are the most effected and faced with issues like target killing which is of serious concern. The deadlock still exists. Tarjuman Imamia Rabta Council (IRC).
