Implement UN resolutions or hold talks. Umar Farooq: Srinagar, Dec 15: Terming that either the implementation of UN resolutions or holding of talks between the three parties namely India, Pakistan and people of Jammu&Kashmir as the only way of finding a resolution to the Kashmir issue, APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the no other process can be substitute for their internationally recognized right to self determination. According to a Press Release issued by APHC to Sachnews Jammu Kashmir , Umar Farooq, who was released after a week of house arrest, made it clear that the so called electoral exercise,repeated from time to time by India in Kashmir since 1947,under the shadow of its military might can never be substitute to right to self determination for deciding the political future of Kashmiris. He said that Kashmir issue is and will continue to be on UN agenda, adding that the security of entire south Asia was at stake due to the lingering dispute. He said that staging elections in Kashmir for administrative purposes had never changed the disputed status of Kashmir in the past, not would it change the historical and political reality of the issue in the future. He said that Indian leadership has to realize that Kashmir issue is a living dispute and it has to be solved on urgent basis either by implementing UN resolutions or through dialogue between India, Pakistan and Kashmiri leadership. Meanwhile APHC Spokesmanhas expressed his concern over the continuous arrest of senior hurriyat leader and executive member of APHC, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza at Sherbagh police station Islamabad where he has been kept in Hawalat from more than a month, the hurriyat spokesman said the leader was suffering from various ailments. He said as a result police was playing with his life. The spokesman also denounced the continuous house arrest of hurriyat’s media advisor, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam besides the detention of senior hurriyat leaders Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Hakim Abdul Rashid, Syed Bashir Andrabi and other leaders and activists lodged in various jails across Kashmir. He said that jail manual was not followed in case of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in jails which was a cause of extreme concern.The spokesman demanded relase of all political prisioners and hundreds of youth lodgen in Jails accross Kashmir
