Implementation of action plan on climate change demanded MU NEWS/IMPHAL, April 25 : Janata Dal (United) Manipur unit President M Tombi addressing a press conference here, has also demand implementation of four point policy in the state. The four point policy includes State Action Plan on Climate Change, State Forest Policy, State Land Use Policy and Long term Water Policy. “We are getting the impact of the global climate change wherein common people are the most sufferer,” says JD(U) leader. “The government should take a special arrangement (for the hill people) to stop jhum cultivation as well.” He also urged the state PHED Minister Hemochandra to start immediate action by distribution of water instead of giving assurances in the media.
