Important NEWS about Space: The Neon Frontier! Hello all you Space Cadets! We are super excited to see you Saturday night!! We are building an out of this world main stage and are making upgrades in the theater that you will definitely love. However, we have encountered a wayward asteroid and must now make some changes in course to avoid any further impacts! As you know we have thrown several successful multi—stage events at The Bob White Theater which have included the attached Wurlitzer Warehouse space. At this time, many changes are taking place in Portland with regards to obtaining approval for special event permits in places like the warehouse. To make a long story short, several recent changes in city policy have tied the hands of the good folks at the Fire Marshals office. We have been working with The City Of Portland and The Portland Fire Marshal for the past 3 weeks doing everything in our power to resolve any issues brought before us related to obtaining the necessary permit approval. However, this afternoon The Bob White Theater was denied a permit to use the side warehouse room in the venue to hold the 2nd stage for “Space”. However, we are able to make some much needed changes to the main stage in the theatre, which will be exciting for everyone involved! The sound system will be larger, and the speakers have been rearranged to better accommodate dancing in front of the stage. All 3 stages are still going on as planned. Our official bar, BAR CARLO has graciously agreed to host the chillout/downtempo stage. HIGHLIGHTED EVENT CHANGES FOR SPACE:: Our occupancy is being reduced by 250 which allows approx. 500 lovely spacelings inside the spacecraft at one time. We have sold around 300 presale tickets, so there will only be 200 tickets left at the door. Entry will be on a first come first serve basis so we recommend getting your presale today (Thursday) before sales end tomorrow (Friday), or show up early at the door. We expect to hit capacity by around 9:30pm upon which we will have a 1-out/1-in entry system in place at the door. We have re-scheduled the booking for one of our originally planned headliners Trevor Vichas to be for Zombie Disco 4. We apologize to Trevor and his fans for the inconvenience but look forward to catching him in action with us at a later date. He will still be at “Space” to partake in the festivities so feel free to say hi. The dance floor has been rearranged, and more speakers then ever have been put into the building, so expect to shake in space! This show is going to blast off, and we built a large LED spaceship structure for the main stage surrounded by Pulsars JBL sound! Schoolboy and the rest of the lineup will make it an unforgettable event for the books! Other then that, remember that we have been throwing safe, quality, EDM concerts for you for over 3 years now. Our team of volunteers is busily working, and no matter what the hiccup, the show must go on! In this case, any inconvenience was completely outside of our control, and we have been doing everything in our power (including hiring many experts and legal help) to protect our special community and our integrity for professionalism.
