#Important information Kathua, December,16:- To ensure that the benefit meant for the genuine domestic LPG customers reaches them directly and is not diverted and that public money in saved, the modified direct benefit transfer for LPG (DBTL) is being launched in the Jammu and Kashmir on 1st January 2015. Under this scheme the consumers can buy cooking gas cylinder at Market price and will get subsidy directly into their bank accounts. Cash equivalent to the difference between the current subsidized rate and market price will be transferred to the bank accounts. On the first booking after joining the scheme one time permanent advance of Rs 568/ will be transferred to the consumer’s account to enable him to buy the refill at the market rate. On the delivery of the cylinder to the consumer the subsidy amount will be transferred within3-4 days in the consumer’s accounts while on linked subsidy transfer. The LPG customers can join the Modified DBTL scheme by providing Aadhaar Number to LPG distributor using Form2 and to bank using Form1. The LPG customer who does not have Aadhaar Number can join the scheme by giving Bank details to LPG distributor in form 4 or by giving 17 digit LPG ID to the Bank using Form3. On joining the scheme consumer becomes CTC (cash transfer compliant) and will get the subsidy in their account to confirm this, they can check their CTC status on mylpg.in. All customers who have joined the scheme till 01/01/2015 will start getting LPG cylinder at market price and cash subsidy in their bank accounts. Between 01/01/2015 and 31/03/2015 (three months), any LPG consumer who does not join the scheme will continue to get the cylinder at subsidized rate as they are getting it today. Between 01/04/2015 and 30/06/2015(three months), those LPG consumers who still do not join the scheme will start getting cylinder at Market Price and cash admissible will be parked with the OMCs (Oil Marketing Companies). If they join the scheme within this 3 months period, the parked cash would be sent to their bank accounts, else it will lapse. From 01/07/2015 consumers who have still not joined the scheme will get the cylinder at market price, and cash subsidy will not be admissible. Any consumers can join the scheme after 30/06/2015 and he/she will be get permanent advance and cash subsidy with prospective effect as per the entitlement. The consumers will receive SMS at every stage of enrollment in the scheme. To avail this feature all LPG consumers are requested to register their mobile numbers with their LPG distributors.
