In 1950 or there about, the Neenah Parks had summer programs, with high school kids to oversee activities designed for kids. At Lauden Park we had a young lady, Pat Coglan (sp?) who was in charge of the games and craft activities. Tetherball and Box Hockey were popular games and plastic covered cord (Lustrelace) was sold for crafting bracelets and necklaces. The little park shelter is still there but I havent seen any activities being held there for years. All the kids loved Pat and every time we saw her years afterward we would greet each other. Unfortunately Pat died several years ago but I still remember that all the boys, including myself, had a childhood crush on her.
