In 1968 I was in junior high living in Carson, CA ... I was close enough to the Watts riots to hope and pray I would never see anything like it again. Twenty four years later, in 1992 I was living in Redondo Beach when the Rodney King riots happened and I was like did we not not learn anything in 1968? Now, twenty two years later it happens again, this time in Ferguson, MO and I ask why do these people keep burning down where they live? I understand that they feel an injustice has been done to them, but how does burning down your home help with that? It only repeats a cycle that (at least in my life time) seems to happen once every generation. When will it stop? When will common sense rule the day? When will these people figure out that you DO NOT burn down where you live and work? I guess I will never understand it.
