In 1972 the most wonderful person in the world entered my life. Her name was Bird. Everyone she met was touched by her. She was really special. I knew I had to get to know her. I asked her to go to a movie with me and she did. We went to see Summer of 42. Two weeks into our growing relationship I thought I better get to know her real name. She told me Brenda Joan Watson. With that formality out of the way I asked her if she would be my girl. She told me yes she would as it would appear she had already told every other girl in a hundred mile radius that I was her guy all others back off or else. I knew that summer I found the person who was going to be with me the rest of life. Bird blessed me with three beautiful babies. Those babies are now incredibly beautiful people and I am blessed to have them in my life. Jen Blackwood has blessed me with grandchildren that light up a room. Bird became Gammy with the birth of these two. She loves those girls. Lily and Nora loves their Gammy so much. Jens Ruby is with her Gammy now. I suppose Gammy couldnt wait any longer to see her and hold her. Sarah Blackwood created the most beautiful boy in the world today and named him Giorgio-Micheal. Gammy loves this boy like no one can and he loves her so much. Ian Blackwood your Mom loves you. She always loves you. You were her special boy. She has struggled for you all her life. When you needed heart surgery at 6 months she thought it was her fault that she had done something wrong. You bounced back and made her smile. She has worried for you ever since. My love, my life-mate, my soulmate has struggled with depression her entire life. I was there for you always Bird. I love you still. I always will. I miss you so much it hurts. I am so glad I said I love you when I last saw you in our kitchen before leaving for the day. Struggle no more Bird. Hold Ruby tight, give Grandma Audrey hugs and Father B hugs. I will see you again but right now the rest of us have more to do. I love you Bird.
