Around the same time, Ronald Reagans administration, with the help of a hustler named Freeway Ricky Ross discovered that mixing blow with baking soda made it incredibly addictive. Then systematically distributed it to the lower class neighborhoods of America. They knew that people who felt there was no way out of poverty and crack addiction would go hand n hand. A release or escape, so to speak. It worked. It was profitable to rake tax dollars off welfare recipients that were spending all their money on crack. THEN!!!! They highly criminalized their new product. Reagen made the jail sentences for crack 100 times what coke offenders got. That means if you had enough coke to do 3 months, if you mixed it with baking soda you would get 24 YEARS. This is how they keep poor people poor, make boat loads of cash through taxing them AND HOW THEY KEEP PRISONS FILLED LIKE HOLIDAY INNS. Youve heard how shitty the food is in there? Do you know how much they charge US to house these criminals? $96 PER DAY! Each one. USA has 4.5% of the worlds population and 25% of the worlds prisoners. Meanwhile, back in the streets, these people cannot escape the poverty because no banks will give them a loan. These poor people are lucky to have pre paid phones! These people are no different than you. Assuming they had equal means, they would be just like YOU. So when I hear a rhyme by Killah Priest, and he says They trapped us here,. Then they fed us crack and beer. Those arent just words that rhyme together.
