In 1980, Paramount Pictures released Popeye with Robin Williams and Shelly Duvall. I grew up watching Popeye. It was the cartoon on every morning before school, along with Woody Woodpecker, and I would eat my cereal while watching it. I really wanted to see this movie. My friends all saw it, and even my brother saw it. I never did. I always felt like I missed something. Then last night, POPEYE was on the Movies channel on cable! I DVRed it and am finally, after 34 years, seeing POPEYE! As it turns out, I really didnt miss anything.
