In 2009, there were only 16,500 murders committed in the United States. Yes that is certainly alot. but there were 37,000 suicides that same year. America has a significantly higher suicide rate than murder rate (Black people arent the cause of this i think). Technically, this means that a white person is more likely to die at his own hands than the hands of a black person. Further more, if its a white victim and a black perpetrator, the suspect is 87 times more likely to get the death penalty than if it is black victim and a white perpetrator. But racism is dead isnt it???
