In America you can smoke freely and it is a right, but NYC laws make it so hard to sell cigarettes without fear of license revoked and investments ruined are ludicrous and the whole concept for the laws are not to protect the public but to increase the revenues of the city coffers and thereby inhibit trade at its discretion with no thought for the public needs. A State and city tax combined of $5.85 per pack and then other taxes and licenses for each location you sell as a vendor is just plain obstruction of commerce in guise of protection. Ill bet none of the monies are used to treat cancer patients and even applied to road building/maintenance or even ASPCA.
