In August, 1969, 32 acts performed across 4 days in front of 400,000 concert-goers. Since then, Woodstock has become widely regarded as a pivotal moment in popular music history. Rolling Stone Magazine listed it as one of the "50 Moments That Changed the History of Rock and Roll". THIS FRIDAY, August 16, exactly 44 years later to the day, 12 Grapes in Peekskill, NY will present the band BACK TO THE GARDEN 1969, in an authentic tribute to the original artists who gave us “3 Days of Peace & Music”. Songs from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Joe Cocker, Sly & The Family Stone, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Richie Havens and many more will be performed live, with amazing accuracy. Tickets are $15, or $7 for those having dinner at 12 Grapes before the 9:30 show. Reservations & info: 914-737-6624. Read more on the events page at 12grapes.
