In Detroit and some other parts of the US, the term scooter trash refers to motorcyclists not organized into formal groups; scooter trash can also refer to a group of teenagers and 20-somethings on plastic Japanese motorcycles. Generally, scooter trash consists of harmless, relatively nice people who ride motorcycles. Biker gang members and outlaw motorcycle groups are not scooter trash. White trash + scoot = scooter trash.... this was at a Sunday church meeting in a rough and unsettling part of Detroit where a church group welcomes people who are serious about getting off the gear and getting their life together.
