In English, we need to remember that beef comes from a cow, pork comes from a pig, lamb comes from a sheep, etc. In Mandarin, we just need to tag on 肉(ròu, meat) after the name of the animal to refer to the meat that comes from that animal. For example, 牛(niú, cow) --> 牛肉(niúròu, beef) 猪(zhÅ«, pig) --> 猪肉(zhÅ«ròu, pork) 羊(yáng, sheep) --> 羊肉(yángròu, lamb) 鸡(jÄ«, chicken) --> 鸡肉(jÄ«ròu, chicken) é±¼(yú, fish) --> 鱼肉(yúròu, fish) 你最喜欢åƒä»€ä¹ˆè‚‰(NÇ zuì xÇhuÄn chÄ« shénme ròu)?
