In Feb 1986, I bought the first issue of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. I was in full collector mode then and so I attempted to buy the multiple printings as they came out. I tried to do the same with the TPBs. Acquired some hardcovers of the series along the way including a limited version in 1986 which included a new plate by Frank Miller. While in London in 1989, I bought a French version of the series which contained a piece of art by Moebius (from Batman #400?). In 1992, I was fortunate enough to meet Moebius at a store appearance at Steves Comic Relief in Philadelphia. Moebius was kind enough to draw a Batman headshot in my French Dark Knight hardcover.
