In February we wrote about the FDA asking healthcare professionals to stop prescribing combination prescription pain relievers that contain more than 325mg of acetaminophen per tablet, capsule, or other dosage unit, citing the risk of liver damage. Now, a new study out of Denmark is suggesting that the use of acetaminophen during pregnancy could be associated with ADHD-like behavioral problems in children. “When women reported use for 20 weeks or more, their children had a 50% increased risk for receiving ADHD medication,” according to the study cnn.it/1bGIny8 .
