In Hollywood today, 5% of SAG actors make 95% of the money. The average salary for a SAG actor is $15k per year. Why are so many A-list actors now doing commercials, on-camera and voiceover? Is George Clooneys VOICE better at selling Budweiser than a professional voice artist no one knows? Does anyone even know that it is Clooneys voice? Could they have paid someone 10x less and still have an effective ad? Would that help lower costs for consumers? Why is it acceptable now for A-list actors like Kevin Spacey and Samuel L Jackson to do commercials pushing products that they may or may not even use themselves? Is this another example of whats wrong with our current economy-that most of the money continues to go to the same people at the top, over and over again and the rest get leftover scraps?
