In Honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I put together a video for my sons journey through cancer. Though some pictures may be very sad to look at, it was reality to us. Many of the really bad things, surgeries, chemo are not posted. I did capture his scans and other hospital stays. He is such a brave child and I am honored to be his Mom. No matter what we faced in life together God gave me the strength to get through it, side by side, together as a family. We got through it. Though very sick, bald, pale and skinny, he kept a smile on his face. Rarely did you see him without one. Please take time to watch his journey and share. Our kids need their stories to be shared with others. Childhood cancer is NOT rare. It hits many of our kids and not every child is lucky enough to be in remission like Elijah. We count our blessings everyday that we still have our son with us. He fought a battle much bigger than himself and came out stronger than ever. Thank you Lord for healing our precious boy.
