In January 1949, Shafiq Anas, a person associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, went to the Court of Appeal in Bab el-Khalq in central Cairo. He claimed that he was a representative of one of the rural areas who came to submit complaints with the prosecutor general. He left the bag at an office inside the court, and left saying he was having breakfast. After he left the office, the office personnel were suspicious about the bag, so they called the security. The security officials took the bag outside the court, and it exploded on the street. Once Shafiq Anas was arrested, he admitted that the purpose of the bombing was to blow up of the court to get rid of the documents that were found in the SUV in November 1948. #Muslim #Brotherhood #terrorist #organization #crimes #through #history
