In June, I had my yearly CT scans done and the results came back - TopicsExpress

In June, I had my yearly CT scans done and the results came back that there was a small lump in my chest. We were told to wait until August and scan again. Apparently, there is a rare condition where the thymus gland regrows in young (yes, I said young, lol) patients after chemo and the doctors thought that I could be one of these patients. Leave it up to me to have something rare. :) Daniel and I waited for an hour and a half at the doctors office today and found out that the recent CT scans showed that the lump was decreasing, which confirmed to the doctors that it was the thymus gland and not the cancer coming back. After doing some research back in June, I was confident that cancer was not the case. Todays report confirmed it. Any cancer survivor will tell you that the thought of going through treatment again can be devastating. After being diagnosed with cancer, every lump or bump is a deeper concern that it is more then just a bump or lump. But, today is not a fearful day. Today I will celebrate and thank God for good news. This month marks 1 year since I heard the words the cancer is gone. Those are now the new words that will ring in ears.
