In June, Zach had a seizure...we went to Houston, and he had an MRI of his brain. It revealed that one of the brain tumors had more than doubled in size. Of course, we were overwhelmed. The doctor began to talk of brain surgery, and an aggressive treatment that involved placing a tube in his brain to infuse an immunotherapy. He was pretty sure that the spinal fluid was affected with cancer cells, and this treatment would circulate through his spinal fluid and the brain membrane. It would require a month in the hospital, as well as hospital stays every time he had an infusion. He would continue this as long as he could tolerate it, and as long as it was beneficial. The doctor said it would most likely make him very sick. In the meantime, he encouraged him to take his current chemo regularly, as other scans and a lumbar puncture was ordered. Last week he had the spinal tap, and spine scans. This week, his brain, chest and abdomen were scanned. The results are: his spinal fluid is clear...his chest and abdomen are clear. The tumor in his brain that had grown has shrunk considerably! The neurosurgeon said no need for brain surgery at this time...the oncologist said just keep taking the chemo. We know that Zach is in Gods hand! He has been by his side during this journey, and He will not leave! He never promised that we would not have trouble, but He did promise He would not forsake us! He has proved over and over His faithfulness.We are so thankful for this good report, and we appreciate all your prayers! Please continue to pray for him. We are trusting God...He is faithful !
