In LORD Jesus Christs name, 1 Corinthians 13:5-7 The Message (MSG) 3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t L-O-V-E, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without L-O-V-E. L-O-V-E never gives up. L-O-V-E cares more for others than for self. L-O-V-E doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. L-O-V-E doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of THE SINS OF OTHERS, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in THE FLOWERING OF THE TRUTH, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end. 1 John 4:8 The Message (MSG) 7-10 My beloved friends, let us continue to L-O-V-E each other since L-O-V-E comes from God. Everyone who L-O-V-E-S is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is L-O-V-E --- so you can’t know him if you don’t L-O-V-E. This is how God showed his L-O-V-E for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is THE KIND OF L-O-V-E we are talking about— not that we once upon a time L-O-V-E-D God, but that he L-O-V-E-D us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God. Colossians 3:12-14 The Message (MSG) 12-14 So, chosen by God for this new life of L-O-V-E, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear L-O-V-E. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. 1 Peter 4:7-11 The Message (MSG) 7-11 Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer. Most of all, L-O-V-E each other as if your life depended on it. L-O-V-E makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless— cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything— encores to THE END OF TIME.
