In March 2013, SFX Entertainment (who recently acquired a 75% stake in ID&T) announced that it would begin organizing an American spin-off of Tomorrowland, known as TomorrowWorld, in September 2013.[7] The inaugural edition was held from September 27-29, 2013 at a farmland in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, 30 miles (48 km) southwest of Atlanta. The site was specifically chosen due to its resemblance to the Boom location that Tomorrowland is traditionally held at, and the festival also re-used the "Book of Life" design used for the main stage at Tomorrowland in 2012. The festival played host to over 140,000 attendees over the weekend.[8]
