In March of this year I sat in the crowd at the Australian Championships and fell in love with this beautiful yearling colt - Ghianni WPI. He is a son of the wonderful Marwan Al Shaqab daughter Ghazala El Jamaal. She herself is an Australian Champion Filly and now a US National Champion Mare. Ghiannis sire needs no introduction - Ajman Moniscione, International super sire son of WH Justice. Ghianni was crowned Australian Champion Colt - he deserved his win. He was worried out there and I could see the long trip from Queensland had taken a toll but there was something about him that got my attention. Yesterday my dear friend Angie Duperouzel reported back to say that her former East Coast Champion mare Chelleason Bey Jullye Anne ( Gai El Jullyen + Briarwood Bey Savannah had vetted PIF to Ghianni. The resulting foal will be owned in partnership by Angie and myself. We have huge faith in this mating and know that the resulting foal will be worthy of his/her international pedigree. I have learnt after having the horses offshore to grow a thick skin - to learn to do what I believe is the right thing to do regardless of what others might think or say. I have also learnt very quickly what we need to be doing to hold our own internationally. Angie darling - Im sorry some folks have been less than kind in their comments - but that is the nature of the game we are in. Hold your head high and enjoy the ride. You wont be disappointed. Our sincere thanks to Paul and Bianca Clark for agreeing to let us use Ghianni and also to Michelle Thomas for all your help - you went way beyond the call of duty - we owe you a drink :-) Alchemy Arabians International also looks forward to breeding a mare to Ghianni in the next couple of weeks - watch this space :-)
