In Memory of Harry Harding Craig husband of Margaret (McAllister) Craig who work in Relays.Harry Harding Craig, 90, of Waynesboro passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Kings Daughters Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 29, 1923 in Mount Sidney, he was the son of the late Marvin Alfred and Edna (Roadcap) Craig. On March 11, 1944 he married the love of his life and best friend, Margaret (McAllister) Craig. The two shared a blessed union of 70 years together. Harry was employed by the former I.E. DuPont and was a faithful employee for over 35 years. He was a U.S. veteran having served honorably with the Army during WWII. He was currently the oldest member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren, Waynesboro. Being known as a hard worker by many, his hands were always active in helping others with various jobs. His favorite past time was fishing, which he enjoyed so much. He will be remembered by those who knew him and loved him as someone who never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Dick Craig, Floyd Craig, Arlene Shover and Evelene Fisher. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his children, Mary Ann Burke, James E. Craig and wife, Darlene, Timmy Craig and fiancé, Donna Campbell, Harry Lee Craig and Jeff Craig; grandchildren, Roxanne Brown and husband, Kenny, Sharon Davis and husband, Charlie, Tony Lam and wife, Amy, Jennifer Monterrozo and husband, Steve, Chris Craig and fiancé, Heather, Justin Craig and wife, Lindsey, Dustin Craig, Brandon Craig, David Alford and wife, Lisa and Mike Alford and wife, Mary; great-grandchildren, Whitney Brown, Jason Brown, Chasity Fitzgerald and husband, Brian, Brad Lam and wife, Amber, Daniel Hemp, Emilee Lam and husband, Preston, Hannah Bower and husband, Michael, Cody Coleman, Domenic, Philip and Lucas Monterrozo, Peyton Craig, Derek Alford, PJ Walters, Caitlin Wilson, Emilee Alford and Ashton Alford; great great-grandchildren, Hunter Fitzgerald, Trenton Brown, Jacob Lam and Kaden Hemp; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his k-9 companion, Priscilla and his cat, Grace. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren with Pastors Larry Black and Dee Flory officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #340. Active pallbearers will be his grandsons. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harrys honor to the Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren –Mortgage Fund.
