In Times Like This, These Little Things Matter........ Delta Central: Amori Should Not Be Our Senator A couple of years ago 2007 to be precise, I wrote an article titled - AMORI AND THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST, which was graciously published in the Nigerian Press. I just got news that Amori is the PDP candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District. I have a solemn duty to again warn our people of this uncultured and ungodly man. He has not apologized to Gods people neither has he repented. You will recall that in a bid to convince then Governor James Ibori of his loyalty or is it in an attempt to create confidence among his then “CORE group” members of his party or in a crude way to instill fear into the opposition, Chief Ighoyota Amori, erstwhile Delta State Commissioner for Education made a lot of sarcastic, ungodly and vain statements. The particular statement that interests this author is that which relates to the second coming of Christ. Talking about those who are expecting then Governor Ibori to be removed from office by the court, the Chief says that they are like those waiting for the second coming of Jesus Christ. As a Christian who is not involved in partisan politics, I am not to comment on the expectation of those people. But I find the Chief’s analogy, using the second coming of Christ offensive to the sensibilities of Christians. I am shocked, horrified is rather the word, that Chief Amori, will talk meanly of something we Christian Believers hold sacred. He infers or even directly tells us with his statements that our blessed hope for the soon second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is utopia, a waste of time, something that will never happen. But this is a cardinal teaching of the scriptures. The Chief therefore is challenging the authenticity of God’s word! What arrogance! What folly! Let him read history and see the end of all those who toed this line. He could have chosen other ways to tell his perceived political opponents that their expectation will never happen; but the Chief has chosen to use his political bullet to attack our faith! He has not only spoken to his political foes that to us Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and his soon second coming. He has called us fools. He has said that we are stupid. He has said that our hope is in vain! He has also spoken of himself. That he does not believe what we believe. He has said by that statement, that he looks down on us Christian Believers, and that he is not one of us! A casual view of his several other arrogant utterances portray him as someone who does not take the Almighty God into cognizance. Simply put, this man is an infidel! He does not fear God. Do not be fooled by his going to one church or the other for ‘thanksgiving’ after one political magic or the other. Amori talks lowly of the things we hold sacred. And publicly too. He blasphemes! But thank God that we are Christians. If he had tried it with certain religions that we know of, he could have paid dearly for it by now. But payday is coming someday. The integrity of God’s word is never in dispute! God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent! Heaven and earth will pass away, but not one of God’s word will fail. God’s word will not return to him void but will accomplish the purpose for which he sends it. Jesus Christ is coming again! Whether the political opponents of the Chief achieves their aim or not, Jesus Christ is coming again and that very soon. Satan cannot stop him; neither will a trillion Amoris stop him. I have been watching, whether any believer in his UPF group will rise up to the challenge and tell the Chief to apologies to the Body of Christ, but so far, none has being man, or Christian enough to do this.Does it mean that all his associates are also antichrist? That again speaks volumes of the Chief. Believers, let us get ready. The 2015 election is coming, and politicians are already scheming and working. The likes of Chief Amori who have no fear for God and no respect for their fellow men MUST never be allowed in governance. Indeed, Chief Amori has voted himself out of the race to the Senate. I call on him to read the handwriting on the wall and repent! He cannot be Senator! I do not care how many billions of naira, pounds and dollars he has amassed. I do not care, how many native doctors are working for him. I do not care how many crude Politicians are on his side. I speak as God’s Prophet; Amori can never be our Senator! We are in a lengthy fast as I write. I call on all Christians in Delta Central to reject him outright at the election. I call on all children of God to pray him OUT! Yes our God answers prayers. (I can almost hear him mock at this), but God’s answer to our prayer might be that which will convert him to become a true believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and his soon second coming.
