In a little while, before the End of the Age, God will send Two Witnesses, who will preach in Jerusalem and call out a great remnant in Israel. I believe, as most in the early Church did, that they will be Enoch and Elijah, two men who never tasted death, but were taken bodily into heaven. They will preach for 3 1/2 years, and then be killed by the Antichrist. Their bodies will lie in the streets of Jerusalem, and the whole world will see it (doubtless on news outlets everywhere.) Then, in front of the eyes of the world, they will be resurrected and ascend into heaven. From that time one, the Antichrist will unleash a final holocaust againt Christians and Jews, as the world experiences Great Tribulation as it has never known before. There are many evidences that point to Enoch and Elijah as the Witnesses, but let me share a little known one from 2 Esdras. In chapter 6 it desribes the end times and men who will come to convert and reveal truth: Behold, the days are coming, and it shall be that when I draw near to visit the inhabitants of the earth, and when I require from the doers of iniquity the penatly for their sin.... ...and they SHALL SEE THE MEN WHO WERE TAKEN UP, who from their births HAVE NOT TASTED DEATH... 2 Esdras 18-19, 26 Lord, send your Witnessess! Draw near to visit us! Save us from ourselves! Gather your scattered children, and make them one. Call the remnant of your Church from the four winds together, Jew and Gentile, and restore the Kingdom to Israel. Let the Lion of the Tribe of Judah come and take the Throne of his father David, and rule over us. Mankinds reign is ending...let yours begin!
