In a move to reform the National Security Agencys surveillance practices, the House of Representatives passed the USA Freedom Act Thursday morning, with 303 representatives voting in favor and 121 against. The passage of the bill was not received well by many critics seeking stricter reforms. Representatives who originally supported the legislation even pulled their support and voted against it, considering it to be a watered-down version that does not offer real reform. Shahid Buttar, executive director of the Bills of Rights Defense Committee, discusses the contents of the final bill with RTs Ameera David.
