In a recent post my friend Praying Medic mentioned how his page had become a haven for many whove been hurt by the church. Hes being used wonderfully to help bring healing and restore broken trust, shattered faith and squashed hopes. Ive found my life has become in many ways a haven and magnetic for many who feel theyve fallen through the cracks. Not of churches only but some of the most compassionate ministries, individual Christians and even those with a sense theyre even out of the reach of God Himself, His heart and love for them. I identify strongly with those hurt by the church and those who can feel they cant be reached. A great challenge for me is to balance cultivating growing hope, healing, freedom, and closeness with the Lord, reminding myself that if I lose myself to a fall into the cracks I can no longer be a light for others at all. The most genuine ministry flows out of the overflow of the goodness He ministers to us personally. His heart to ours, ours (influenced by His), to others. I appreciate so very much the support, encouragement and especially the patience of so many who stand with me, beside me or who push me in love, both on fb and off. Were all in this journey together, helping one another run our race and finish the course Hes given us. Lets keep on completing each other!
