In a village where there was no electricity, it was only local lamps with the use of palm kanel oil used. Peaple donot know kerosine or gasoline. At night the wood was lit at the middle of the village where all peaple come for their daily stories. Thatched roofing was observed all over the village -Zinc roofing was never dreamed in all the surrounding. A raised floor was used as beds , there was no knowledge of foem of any kind.The only pleasure was story telling at night, dancing and singing taditional songs. The secret societies were meant to train youth for responsibilities ahead of life. My friend, this was my home and life that I met with my people. I tasted it, lived with it and grew from it . Well, I was born when scissors and gloves had no bearing with birth.The bear hands of elderly, highly respected personalities and trully minded people welcomed my way to this world. Here I am today,I was only washed with water of boiled leaves and roots, medicated with the bitterness of roots and leaves. I was rubbed with burnt palm oil. I sucked my true mothers breast. Well that was my state as a child from a poor home.
